Our week at Tropical Villa Dream was incredible in every way, from start to finish. The villa and it’s amenities provided hours of entertainment for our large party of 18. The rooms were spotless and the property well maintained. The proximity to Eden Roc, and complimentary access to its pool/beach facilities was an excellent option for those who wanted a change of scenery throughout the week. It was the staff, however, who really made the trip memorable. JC - the property manager - was welcoming, prompt and flexible with our requests. The chef Martines was incredibly talented and provided us with the most wonderful meals. Ramon couldn’t do enough for us and we enjoyed his company as he made us drinks by the pool. Inez and Alfin kept the house clean and beautiful, provided turn-down service and even did some laundry for us! We had an amazing time in the house. Everything was better than I expected. The staff was great, specially Tomas. The accommodations were great. I will definitely book it again another time. We did have great time getting away with family and friends but our trip was not with out disappointment. With Luxury Retreat properties I really expect 5 star service and a wow experience. However, the property and staff were unfortunately very underwhelming. They property does have great amenities but is in need of serious cosmetic and mechanical TLC. Because the entire house staff spoke little to no English it made all communication including drink ordering very difficult, thank god for google translate. I also have some serious concerns regarding the lack of kitchen hygiene. I witnesses the chef switch from cutting raw chicken to making omelettes without proper or even basic cleaning. 10 out of our group of 13 ended up with a stomach illness. I have no idea if that was the source but kitchen hygiene definitely needs improvement. We stayed at the Tropical Dream Villa June 18 - 25th. The villa far surpassed our expectations. The home included a chef, bartender, wait staff and house keepers. There were 22 of us staying at the villa and all - from age 75 to 13 were elated. Basketball court, TV room, pools, etc. completed the stay. Everyone had comfortable beds with wonderful air conditioning! We made use of the golf carts to go to and from the beach - which is about a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk around the corner. We just returned after a week's stay. We were a complete family from grandparents to grandchildren. From the moment we arrived we were blown away. The consensus was that this was the first time our luxury rental accommodations outdid the pictures on the website. The bedrooms were spacious and luxurious and there was not an inferior room in the house. The design was unique and most unusual for a private rental, including multiple game rooms, basketball court, enclosed squash court, soccer, pool, table tennis, fussball, etc. ...enough to keep the kids occupied all week while there were innumerable chaise lounges for the more sedentary interested in relaxation. The entire staff was dedicated to our house only. The service was exemplary from housekeepers to bar tenders to our concierge and our exquisite chef who prepared 3 gourmet meals a day shaping everything to our individual tastes and needs. The rooms were cleaned and beds made twice daily. In addition, The Eden Rock resort, beach club and golf were 5 minutes away offering us huge infinity pools, a gorgeous beach, other activities and fine dining should we need a change. A wonderful home with a dedicated and attentive staff. Our group of 17 had plenty of space, fantastic meals, great accommodations, and an all around amazing vacation. Close to the beach club, short drive to golf -- and really, a complex where you could just stay and enjoy all the time: pool, hot tubs, tennis, squash, gym. Hermosa y lujosa casa con todas las comodidades que uno pueda necesitar. No había tiempo para aburrirse! Si querías ir a la playa, tomabas el carrito de golf y en 5 minutos encontrabas una de las playas más hermosas de Punta Cana. Si te cansabas de la playa volvías a la casa para disfrutar de las dos piscinas. Si se te antojaba hacer deporte, la casa tiene un gimnasio full equipado... La verdad es que la casa superó todas mis expectativas y las de mi familia, éramos 12 personas y había espacio para muchas más. Todos lo pasamos bien, desde el más pequeño hasta el más grande. We had never been to DR and we needed a place for 12 of us (6 couples) and this was one of the few villas we could find! Thank goodness because it was EPIC!! Every photo is spot on and the place is AMAZING!!! Everything is immaculate and well thought out. Nata, Chef, Inez and Lourdes were attentive, helpful and simply terrific. Every meal was better than the last. Marc and Sylvia (concierge from Volalto) were helpful and available on WhatsAp when we needed. We fortunately had two Spanish speaking guests and two of us spoke French a Nata otherwise communication w staff may have been hard. Eden Roc nearby is amazing but $$$ and we went to Juanillo beach 2x which was great. Tennis court is not full size but still very nice court. Gym is adequate but turn on AC before you wanna work out! We had 2 massage therapists come one day - best massages I have ever had and that says a lot! We rented 2 6pax golf carts which was worth it! A few notes: some of the mattresses are a bit soft, needed help sorting hot water in shower, house should provide ice as part of rental, wifi was sketchy during our stay and the house sound system was hard to navigate. Just finished my second visit to Tropical Dream and I can't say enough about how much I love the entire experience. First, the villa itself is truly spectacular. You can spend a week just enjoying the various spaces for relaxation, recreation and entertaining spread across the sprawling grounds. From the large and inviting pool (with a basketball net) which dominates the center courtyard, to the sports courts (for basketball etc.), the indoor racquetball court, sauna and exercise room, there are plenty of spaces for those who crave activity and exercise. When you are ready to relax you can take your pick of great indoor spaces, including a living room tastefully decorated with large sofas and amazing African art, a game room equipped with pool table and big screen TV, and a cigar room. The outdoor relaxation areas include an amazing thatched gazebo and bar off the pool (a perfect spot for lunch or cocktails), numerous lounge areas by the pool and in the central gardens, and balconies and private spaces off some of the bedrooms (my favorite is the hidden hot tub/garden area behind the master suite). A hidden gem which I highly recommend using is the outdoor massage pavilion at the rear of the of villa grounds. Clearly, the owners of this villa spared no expense and thought of everything, from the central music system to the children's play area. This is a villa everyone in your group will be happy never to leave. But if you are a golfer, you should make sure you tear yourself away from the pool to play at least one round of golf at Punta Espada GC. It is truly one of the best and most beautiful courses anywhere and is just a few minutes away by golf cart. The Eden Roc beach club (also just minutes away) has a beautiful beach and pools, and a nice restaurant. (The beach, however, is sometimes plagued with seaweed as it was during our visit which was on the heels of a hurricane - the only bummer of our trip.) While it is hard to believe, this villa looks better in person than it appears in pictures - and the pictures look great. Finally, I would be remiss if I did not say a word about the management, concierge and staff. All were absolutely first rate. Our operational concierge, Jose, is one of the kind - receptive, resourceful and pleasant. He made our trip. Our villa concierge and her dedicated staff (Nata, especially) simply made us feel like royalty while unobtrusively meeting and anticipating our every need. While this villa is not cheap it is a great value. I cannot think of a better place for large groups with people of varied ages and interests. I will go certainly go back again. Tropical Dream is a well laid out villa with two main buildings. The main building houses 4 bedrooms the kitchen and family rooms. The second building has 4 more bedrooms and a squash court. The facility is loaded with things to do such as a basketball court, very small gym, pool table, fuse ball, Ping-Pong and of course swimming pools and a hot tub. Make sure you have a golf cart to zip around the huge complex, beaches etc.. The property is well maintained and very clean (although all the wood needs stain and varnish) as the hot sun is tough on exposed wood. The staff of 4, cook, butler, and 2 maids are pleasant and serve tasty local food. They mean well but they are not Michelin trained by any means and speak mostly French so communicating is a bit tough. Overall a very good experience in the DR. Source: Luxury Retreats

beautiful modern villa. nice high end furnishings. great feel. rooms are very big and have good bedding. housekeepers and chef were very helpful. villa has a gym, steam room, top of the line weber bbq, great sound system for the entire house. the circular pool is very cool and gives the house a good vibe. we had some issues with the plumbing, and the showers were not consistently good. be careful when giving your grocery order because whatever u ask them to buy they buy tons of it. be specific what you want and how much of it you want. the grocery store is like costco so every package is huge. if u order 24 individual greek yoguarts they will bring u 24 huge sized greek yoguarts. despite the few difficulties, this villa is really amazing and i would highly recomend it Source: HomeAway

The pictures were great and we were prepared for it to not be as nice in person. However our expectations were exceeded as property was expansive. The service also was very welcoming. The chef prepared great meals and was very accommodating to our individual needs. We were only a group of 6 which made this easier. Nata the bartender/butler also looked after all our needs. We were celebrating a big birthday and he made all types of drinks for us. Language was a small issue as our Spanish isn't fluent but that was a fun challenge. Our family had an amazing stay at Tropical Dreams Villa. The villa is beautifully decorated and immaculate. The common grounds are equally as beautiful and offers many different areas to enjoy. The staff was top notch and the chef was amazing!! We enjoyed a pig roast one night and he also prepared a fantastic fish dinner with the fish that we caught that morning!! The access to Eden rock resort is also a big plus. The beaches and pool there are gorgeous and it is only a 1 minute ride away. All and all an incredible stay... I highly recommend!! If you are looking to enjoy an all inclusive home and beautiful beach club, look no further. Tropical Dream has all the amenities you could want. And the Eden Roc beach club access which is included is a great value for an exquisite location. The only drawback in this paradise is Cap Cana itself, which is sort of like a shell of what could have been a fantastic resort community before the recession of 2008. Off-season, it is a ghost town and the service was non-existent. Staff at the Villa are lovely but do not measure up to the Villa itself. Source: Luxury Retreats
